I love to make this cake in the Fall! It is so simple and tastes absolutely delicious! Everyone has raved about this cake, and we sure love it too! It is more of a Fall dish but could certainly be served at any time! I served this with brunch! Enjoy this easy and delicious!

Apple Pie Cake

This simple Apple Pie Cake is easy to make in under an hour, packs two delicious desserts in one, and is loaded with warm, spiced fall flavors. It's the perfect treat to share with friends and family all season long.

Ingredients Method Notes

Ingredients
  

Topping
  • 1 C all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 C butter cut into smαll pieces
Apple Mixture
  • 3 apples peeled and chopped
  • 3 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnαmon
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
Cake
  • 1 box White Cake Mix
  • icing of choice

Method
 

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom and sides of 13×9-inch pan with baking spray with flour.
  2. In medium bowl, stir together flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar and the salt. Mix well
  3. In another medium bowl, gently stir together apples, cinnamon and brown sugar together; set aside.
  4. In large bowl, following the cake mix instructions and mix well. Pour into pαn.
  5. Spread apple mixture evenly over cake batter. Sprinkle Topping evenly over top.
  6. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. drizzle icing on top once cool and enjoy!

Notes

Storage:
  • Store leftovers wrapped tightly at room temperature for 2 days, or in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat for a few minutes in the oven at 300° until warm.
  • Store leftover individually wrapped slices in the freezer for up to 2-3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating as instructed above and serving again.
  • Make this cake up to 24 hours in advance, cool, then store on the counter until you’re ready to eat. Ice or glaze right before serving.
