Let’s get started!

Fall is here, and so is pumpkin everything! If you’re a pumpkin spice lover, there’s nothing better than sipping on a refreshing cold brew topped with velvety Pumpkin Cold Foam. This frothy, pumpkin-flavored foam takes your iced coffee to the next level, giving you all the cozy fall vibes in a chilled cup. The best part? You can easily make it at home with just a few ingredients, saving you that trip to the coffee shop!

Ready to bring fall into your cup? Let’s whip up some homemade Pumpkin Cold Foam.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 c heavy whipping cream
  • 1 T pumpkin purée
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (I use paste)
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Instructions:

Step 1: Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl or mixing cup, combine the heavy cream, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Make sure all ingredients are well-mixed before moving on to the next step.

Step 2: Froth It Up

Using a handheld milk frother or an electric mixer, froth the mixture for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until it becomes thick and creamy. You want it to be light and foamy, but not as stiff as whipped cream.

The frother I use is linked here.

Pro Tip: If you don’t have a frother, you can also shake the mixture vigorously in a mason jar until it’s frothy!

Step 3: Pour Over Coffee

Fill a glass with cold brew or iced coffee, leaving some room at the top for the foam. Spoon the luscious pumpkin foam on top and watch it cascade over the edges, creating that perfect coffee shop aesthetic.

Step 4: Garnish & Serve

For an extra festive touch, sprinkle a little extra pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon on top of the foam. Enjoy immediately for the ultimate fall refreshment!

Tips for the Best Pumpkin Cold Foam:

  • Adjust the Sweetness: The beauty of homemade cold foam is that you can control how sweet you want it. Add more or less maple syrup to taste, or substitute with sugar-free syrup for a low-carb version.
  • Lighter Option: For a lighter alternative, substitute the heavy cream with milk, oat milk, or almond milk. Just note that plant-based milks may not froth as thickly as dairy cream.
  • Add Flavor: If you’re feeling adventurous, try adding a drop of almond or hazelnut extract for extra flavor depth.
