
Sugared cranberries are a delightful combination of sweet and tart, with a beautiful frosty appearance that makes them a stunning addition to any holiday spread. Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh cranberries, washed
- Can of sprite, ginger ale or ginger beer (or go for champagne! I used cranberry ginger soda from Trader Joe’s)
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions:
Make sure that you rinse your cranberries really well and strain.
Add to a container and pour the soda on. Let them sit in the fridge for 12 to 24 hours.
The next day take them out and strain them and then pat dry.
Place them in a bowl and sprinkle on the powdered sugar making sure to coat each one.
Set your oven to 200° and bake for 10 minutes. Turn the oven off and let them completely cool, take out and enjoy!
Tips for Success:
- Use fresh, firm cranberries for the best results.
- Make sure the cranberries are 100% dry before rolling them in sugar to avoid clumps.
