I really like treating myself to coffee but it’s just getting so expensive! You know for years now I’ve always said I like to be a “homebody barista” at home and it’s so easy to make your own fancy coffee, right at home!

Lavender simple syrup is so easy to make, and you will crave this for all of your spring coffee recipes! Let’s get started!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp lavender syrup * see notes!
  • Choice of milk
  • 1/4 cup half n half
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. In a glass add the instant coffee, water and 1 tbsp of the lavender syrup. Froth it really well. Add in your ice and choice of milk.
  2. In a small cup add your half n half and the other tbsp of lavender syrup. Froth until thick and pour on top. Enjoy!

Check out this adorable glass! The perfect treat to elevate your everyday coffee.

Lavender Simple syrup

Combine equal parts sugar and water to a pot, I usually do 1 cup of each. Then I add in 2 tbsp of culinary dried lavender. Let it simmer, remove from heat and let cool. Strain the lavender out and store in an airtight container, it will keep in the fride for up to a month. I like to use these syrup containers!
