Crockpot Chicken Parmesan Tortellini
I LOVE chicken Parmesan and tortellini so this combo was a must! It’s such an easy winter meal to make and of course any meal that goes into the crockpot and you forget with little to know prep is right up my alley!
Let’s get started!
Ingredients
- 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
- ½ cup of water
- 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 19 ounce bag frozen cheese tortellini
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- Garlic salt and pepper
Instructions
- Place the sauce in the bottom of your slow cooker and fill the jar with ½ cup of water to rinse the jar and pour that into the slow cooker. Place your chicken on top of the sauce and season with a sprinkle of garlic salt and pepper. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
- Remove chicken from the slow cooker and stir in your frozen tortellini. Either keep your chicken whole or shred it (I shred mine) and place back in the slow cooker on top of the pasta.. Top with the mozzarella. Place the lid on and continue to cook for 15-30 more minutes until pasta is tender. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Optional! Mix 1/2 breadcrumbs with the parmesan cheese and evenly spread over each chicken breast for crunch and then top with cheese and let melt.
