This dip is so good and EASY to make! It only takes about 5 minutes to whip up! Great for any gathering or party! It can be used as an appetizer or dessert- so versatile! This would be SO fun to make for Valentine’s Day as well! I love to serve it with fruit and crackers or cookies!

Let’s get started!

Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Total Time 5 minutes mins
Servings: 4
Course: Dessert, side, Snack
Cuisine: American
Ingredients Method

Ingredients

  • ½ c heavy whipping cream or 1/2 tub cool whip
  • 1 8 oz. block of cream cheese softened
  • 3 T sugar
  • ⅔ c powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ c cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp red food coloring
  • 1/4 c red velvet cake mix optional (microwave it for 5 min and let cool since it’s raw ingredients!)

Method

  1. Combine cream cheese, vanilla, cocoa, red velvet cake mix (if using), sugar and powdered sugar. Mix well and set aside.
  2. If using cool whip, fold it into the mix. If using heavy whipping cream, add to a bowl and blend til you have stiff peeks and then fold into the mix. next add in red food coloring. (NOTE! If you are using red velvet cake mix, then you can skip the food coloring)
  3. Serve at room temperature with cookies or fruit!
    Enjoy!
