Austin’s Fried Fish Batter
Austin is a southern boy through and through and makes some of the best fried fish EVER. We use his batter for fish tacos or some simple fish bites. His batter is simple and he’s sharing it with you!

Ingredients
- 3 cups corn meal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt & pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoons parsley
Instructions
- in a bowl or gallon ziploc bag add all the ingredients and give it a good shake or whisk.
- To use, prep your fish, we have used a wide variety of fish with the batter; catfish, salmon, trout, tilapia and halibut to name a few.
- If making fish bites, cut into small pieces and toss in batter, have some oil in a pan, hot and ready to go. Drop the fish and cook 3 minutes on each side. Drain the excess oil on a paper towel.
- If you want to make tacos, cut your fish into thin strips and cook the same as above!
