Austin's Fried Fish Batter

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups corn meal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt & pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoons parsley

Method
 

  1. in a bowl or gallon ziploc bag add all the ingredients and give it a good shake or whisk.
  2. To use, prep your fish, we have used a wide variety of fish with the batter; catfish, salmon, trout, tilapia and halibut to name a few.
  3. If making fish bites, cut into small pieces and toss in batter, have some oil in a pan, hot and ready to go. Drop the fish and cook 3 minutes on each side. Drain the excess oil on a paper towel.
  4. If you want to make tacos, cut your fish into thin strips and cook the same as above!
