There’s nothing quite as comforting as a warm, spiced cup of chai tea. Whether it’s the crisp fall air or just a moment of relaxation you’re craving, this homemade chai tea recipe will bring those cozy vibes straight to your kitchen. Plus, it’s so simple to make that you’ll wonder why you ever bought it premade!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
Instructions:
1. Measure and combine all ingredients in a bowl.
2. Add mix to a blender or food processor, 1 cup at a time, and blend or process for a few seconds until the chai latte mix becomes a powder. You want it to be a powder, otherwise your spices will sink to the bottom when you make your drink.
3. Scoop mix in jars to store or to give as gifts.
4. To serve, scoop 2-3 tablespoons of chai latte mix and mix with 1 cup of boiling water or warm milk if you want it creamier.

Notes
Adding 1 1/2 cups of instant iced tea is an option if you want the caffeine! I opt for the Lipton brand.
