These puff pastry hearts are so quick and easy to make for Valentines Day! I love how they turned out! I use a simple store bought puff pastry for convenience, but making your own would work just as well. I used a small cookie cutter to cut my hearts out, but free handing wiht a knife also works! There are a lot of variations to this! You could swap out strawberry jam for whatever is your favorite! These could be used as an appetizer or dessert as well!
Ingredients:
- 1 package puff pastry
- Strawberry Jam
- 2T milk
- 3/4 Cup powdered sugar
- Few drops red food coloring- (I use Watkins- no Red40)
Instructions:
- Lay your pastry puff out
- Roll it to get creases out
- Cut your heart and lay them out onto a pan
- Add strawberry jam in the middle then top with another heart
- Use a fork to pinch the sides closed
- Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown
- Mix your milk, powdered sugar and food coloring together
- Ice the hearts and enjoy!
