Y’all- I caved… I caved with my first pregnancy craving and had to make some banana pudding. It’s been in my mind for WEEKS and I had to finally make it! Now my grandma always made it with a homemade custard, which is stellar! I’m sharing an easier version with you that cuts the time!
Let’s get started!
Prep Time20 minutes
Additional Time4 hours
Total Time4 hours20 minutes
4 bananas, sliced
1 small box instant vanilla or banana pudding
3 cups milk
8 oz tub cool whip
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tsp vanilla extract
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 box nilla wafers or thin vanilla cookies
In a bowl combine the cream cheese, condensed milk, box of pudding, milk and vanilla extract. Mix with a hand mixer until combined and smooth. Let sit for 5 minutes until slightly firm. Then add in half of the container of cool whip and fold in.
In a bowl or pie plate, cover the bottom with the cookies. Pour 1/3 or 1/2 (this depends on how deep you’re pie dish or bowl is) on top and smooth over. Cover with banana slices and crumble a few cookies and add on top. Repeat with the pudding, banana slices and cookie crumbles. Add the remaining cool whip on top, smooth over, top with banana slices and cookie crumbles
