Skillet Shepherds Pie

Skillet Shepherds Pie

This one takes me back to the days when I cooked with my grandma. She was a gem and one heck of a cook! We would race to see who could peel potatoes the fastest and she would tell me all kinds of stories. Shepherds pie is a family favorite and this one is super easy!

Let’s get started!

Prep Time 25 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onions, carrots and crlery
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 Tbs flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp parsley

Instructions

  1. If you can, use an oven safe pan and add in the ground beef, celery, onions and carrots and cook on low until fully cooked. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian herbs. Mix in the flour and stir well.

  2. Slowly add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, let simmer and thicken (about 5-10 minutes.
