Want an easy addition to your pasta night that you can also make big batches of and freeze?! Well look no further!

These meatballs are a fan favorite whether I am using them for pasta night, meatball subs in the crock-pot or for a quick appetizer for game night. Super easy to prep and make!

I share two different ways to cook these and recently I started cooking my meatballs right in the sauce and let me tell you, they come out absolutely perfect!

Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs, garlic-seasoned
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon onion, dried and minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. There are two ways that you can make this. First, preheat oven to 350° F. Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix until thoroughly blended. Form into meatballs, doesn’t matter the size and place on cookie sheet or in a shallow baking dish. I prefer a 10×10 baking dish and let them bake for 12 minutes. Once they are baked, I like to take them out and add them to the sauce to finish.
  2. The second way I like to make them is get my pot of sauce ready and cooking. I combine all of the ingredients for the meatballs and shape them into meatballs. I drop them right into the sauce and let them simmer in the sauce for about 30 minutes with the lid on and the heat on low. They come out perfect !

Dropping meatballs right into the sauce to cook is my favorite way to make meatballs! They come out super juicy & wonderfull.

Notes:

  • Meatballs are a great meal that can be made ahead and frozen for future dinners. You can double this recipe, and vacuum seal in dinner size proportions and when ready to use, thaw and place right in your sauce!
  • You can also prepare these meatballs as appetizers. Stick a toothpick in each meatball for easy serving and serve with a side of gravy or tomato sauce.
  • EAT TILL IT HURTS, FRIENDS!

I had only moved there 3 months prior to start over and really find myself. I had this random idea pop into my head to start a business, I was going to teach myself how to paint, create handmade items and sell them locally. I put zero thought into the name and decided to call my business “The Sassy Barn”.

10 years later, The Sassy Barn has surpassed my dreams. To our customers, retailers and my family and friends (who would buy from the trunk of my car at family reunions 😂), I can’t thank you enough for your business and support. I can’t wait to see what else this journey holds ❤️
