Let’s get started!

This easy-to-make appetizer combines the zesty flavor of pickles with gooey mozzarella, all wrapped up in a crispy coating. Perfect for parties, game days, or just an indulgent treat at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag dill pickle potato chips
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. dried dill
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 package babybel cheese- I used their original
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions:

Using a food processor, pulse the potato chips into small crumbs. Place the potato chips in bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder and dried dill. In a third bowl, whisk the eggs.

Unwrap each babybel, coat in flour, then in eggs, then repeat again. Place potato chips and place all on a plate. I then like to place in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.

Heat 1-inch of oil in a pot over medium-high. Fry the mozza sticks for 30 seconds each side or until golden brown on all sides Place on paper towels to absorb any extra grease. Serve while hot with a side of marinara sauce

I had only moved there 3 months prior to start over and really find myself. I had this random idea pop into my head to start a business, I was going to teach myself how to paint, create handmade items and sell them locally. I put zero thought into the name and decided to call my business “The Sassy Barn”.

10 years later, The Sassy Barn has surpassed my dreams. To our customers, retailers and my family and friends (who would buy from the trunk of my car at family reunions 😂), I can’t thank you enough for your business and support. I can’t wait to see what else this journey holds ❤️
