My mom and I went to NYC during the holidays one year and went to Serendipity.. they are known for their frozen hot chocolate and it is UNREAL!

Ever since that trip we’ve been creating this sweet treat at home. It’s so delicious and even better, I make my homemade vanilla whipped cream to go with it!

If you like peppermint, be sure to make my peppermint vanilla whipped cream for this!

Frozen Hot Chocolate

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup hot chocolate powdered mix
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 5 cups ice
  • Whipped Cream

Method
 

  1. Add all of the ingredients other than the whipped cream into a blender and pulse until the ingredients are blended to your desired consistency. You want it to be a little thicker with texture, like a milkshake, rather than completely smooth like a smoothie.
  2. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream! See notes for my vanilla whipped cream. Enjoy!

    Notes

    Vanilla Whipped Cream
    1 cup heavy whipping cream
    1 Tbsp vanilla extract or paste
    3 Tbsp sugar
    Blend with a hand mixer until you have whipped cream consistency.
