Apple crisp was one of the first desserts I learned to make when I first lived on my own. I still have the original recipe that I have no since tweaked.
I made this apple crisp with a granola topping instead of oats and will share both topping variations with you!
Let’s get started!
Ingredients
Method
- 1. Preheat oven to 350. Peel, core and cut your apples and place in a bowl. Add in the 1/2 cups of sugar and brown sugar and the teaspoon each of cinnamon and cloves. Mix well and put in a greased casserole dish or pie dish.2. If you are using the granola topping choice cut 3 tablespoons of butter into the 1 cup of granola and place over top of the apples.3. If you are using the oats topping, mix the oats, flour, butter, brown sugar and salt together and place over top of the apples.4. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes.5. Serve hot or cold.6. Enjoy!
I made this today and all I can say is…This is amazing!!!! So delicious and oh my the house smells incredible!
I love your instagram account and will be reading your blog too. A question about the Apple Crisp recipe: On instagram you listed 1/2 c. of the sugars but on here it says 1/4 c. in the ingredient listing but says 1/2 c. of each sugar in the directions. Would you please clarify the correct amounts? I’m looking forward to making this.
The blog is correct! I mentioned on stories that I would be tweaking the recipe from the old version that I had!
