The holiday season is the perfect time to get creative and add some handmade touches to your home decor. One easy and budget-friendly project to try is crafting jute twine Christmas trees. These rustic ornaments are charming, versatile, and bring a cozy farmhouse vibe to your festive setup.
Jute twine is not only affordable but also incredibly versatile. Its natural texture and earthy tones make it an ideal material for creating decor that blends effortlessly with both modern and traditional holiday themes.
Use them as part of your gift wrapping by attaching a mini jute tree to each package.
Arrange your jute twine trees in groups of three (small, medium, and large) on a mantel or table. The key to this one is grabbing different sized foam cones.
Place them on a wooden tray with pinecones, candles, and faux snow for a rustic centerpiece.

Wrap The Cone: Take the foam cone and wrap it completely in plastic wrap. This will make it easier to slide off the foam cone once the mod podge is dry.
Attach the Twine: Start at the bottom of your cone. Tie a knot around the bottom of the cone to ensure it doesn't move.
Wrap the Cone: Begin wrapping the twine around the cone tightly, working your way up.
Mod Podge: After wrapping, I painted on a good amount of mod podge. You want to make sure every string is well covered to ensure it holds its shape!
Add Embellishments: Get creative! You can leave your tree plain for a minimalist look or decorate it with mini pom-poms, ribbons, or even a dusting of glitter.
Dry & Remove Plastic Wrap: Once dried completely slide the foam cone out from the string and then remove the plastic wrap. Then you are left with a cute jute twine christmas tree!
An Added Touch: If you’re feeling extra festive, wrap a strand of battery-operated fairy lights around the tree for a magical glow!
