When I tell you this is the best chocolate chip cookie… EVER! It’s fool proof. Literally, you cannot mess it up. We live in high altitude, and I have always had a difficult time baking here, I decided to pull out my grandmother‘s recipe and give these cookies a try. They have never failed me before, and even at high altitude, they did not fail me!
They come out beautiful they are fluffy with a touch of crispy. You are going to love them!

- Preheat oven to 475°. Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking or use a non stick baking sheet.
- In the smaller mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, corn starch, salt, and baking soda. Cut the stick of butter into smaller pieces. In the larger mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract
- Gently stir the dry ingredients into the larger bowl with the butter/egg/sugar mixture. Add in chocolate chips and mix gently until fully combined.
- Using a full size spoon (tablespoon), make cookie dough balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 6-7 minutes or until the tops of the cookies get golden/brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool. Serve warm and enjoy!
