Instant Pot Applesauce

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds of cored peeled and cut in half apples
  • 1 C water you can add more later if needed
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Method
 

Instant Pot Instructions:
  1. Place apples in instant pot.
  2. Add water and spices and set to high pressure for 10 minutes or cook on high for 4-5 hours or until apples are completely soft.
  3. Release pressure and blend with an immersion blender (easiest way to do this and less mess!) or transfer to a blender and add more water if needed.
Crockpot Version
  1. 10 Medium-Sized Apples
  2. 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  3. ⅓ Cup to ½ Cups Water (more if you want it less thick)
  4. 1 tsp Cinnamon
  5. 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  6. You can peel (if desired), and chop your apples into large chunks.
  7. Add the apples, lemon juice, water, and optional cinnamon and spices to the slow cooker.
  8. Cook on high for 3-4 hours until the apples have broken down.
  9. You can then mash to completely smooth when done, add to a blender or use an immersion blender.
