Ingredients

  • 1 package large croissants 4–5 croissants
  • 8 oz sliced Black Forest ham
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese shredded
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup half & half
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • cup chopped chives
  • 1 cup hollandaise sauce prepared from a packet or homemade

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Chop the croissants into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly in the bottom of a greased baking dish. The croissants soak up the egg mixture perfectly, creating a fluffy yet structured casserole.
  2. Fold the sliced ham and tuck it between the croissant pieces. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, gently pressing some of it into the croissants and ham for even distribution.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, half & half, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole. Sprinkle chopped chives on top. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown, bubbly, and set in the center.
  5. Allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with warm hollandaise sauce just before serving for the ultimate brunch experience.
    Enjoy!
