Green Beans with Bacon and Onion

These easy Green Beans with Bacon and Onion are a simple and old-fashioned side dish full of big classic flavor perfect for any everyday or special occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cans of cut green beans or 1 pound of fresh cleaned and cut
  • 2 Pieces Thick Cut Bacon diced
  • ½ Cup Yellow Onion diced
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ Teaspon Dry Parsley
  • Black Pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Start by frying your bacon in a pan, you want them crispy and brown. Next add in your diced onion and seasonings.
  2. Add in your green beans with the juices (if using a can), if you are using fresh green beans add about a cup of water and let the beans simmer an hour.
  3. Serve with your favorite meats or dishes (try my pot roast!)

Notes

Storage:
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3-4 days. Reheat the beans in a skillet over medium low heat, or in the microwave until warmed through.
