Strawberry Basil Lemonade
Doesn’t that title just sound refreshing?! Fresh basil is my jam in the summer! And I can’t get enough of juicy red strawberries! The two together in lemonade is SO GOOD!
I have two versions for you, a concentrate version that’s easy peasy and a homemade version for those that have an abundance of fresh lemons!

Ingredients
- Concentrate Version
- 1/4 Cup Basil leaves
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 4 sliced strawberries
- 1 can lemonade concentrate
- 4 1/2 cups water
- Homemade Version
- Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Basil leaves
- water
- 4 sliced strawberries
- 1 1/4 cups fresh lemon juice
- 4 1/2 cups water
Instructions
Concentrated Version
- In a sauce pan combine sugar, water, basil leaves and 2 sliced strawberries. Lightly smash the strawberries to break some of them up. Let the mixture lightly simmer then take off heat and let cool.
- In a pitcher, add in the concentrate, 4 1/2 cups of water and cooled simple syrup (with the strawberries and basil in it!)
- Give it a good stir, serve over ice!
Homemade Version
- In a sauce pan combine sugar, water, basil leaves and 2 sliced strawberries. Lightly smash the strawberries to break some of them up. Let the mixture lightly simmer then take off heat and let cool.
- While the sugar water is cooling, squeeze your lemons into a pitcher. Add in 4 1/2 cups of water and cooled simple syrup (with the strawberries and basil in it!)
- Give it a good stir, serve over ice!
