Materials Needed
To crochet one flower bouquet coaster, you’ll need:
- 16 grams medium weight cotton yarn in white, green, and pink
(Lily Sugar ’n Cream in White, Sage Green, and Rose Pink) - (Optional) 10 grams medium weight brown yarn
(Red Heart Super Saver in Buff) - 4mm crochet hook (Clover Amour recommended)

Notes
- This pattern is written using US
crochet terms - The number in (parentheses) at the end of each row is the stitch count after finishing that row
- Italicized notes tell you what to change to adjust the size
- The chain 2 at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a double
crochet - The slip stitch at the end of each round in the base goes into the first stitch of that round
- The first stitch of every new round in the base goes into the same stitch we slip stitched to in the previous round

- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase (2 dc in same stitch)
- PC = popcorn stitch (5 dc)
- sl st = slip stitch
- sk = skip
- sp = space
- ch2-sp = chain-2 space
- rep = repeat
Crochet Flower Bouquet Coaster Pattern Instructions
Step 1: Crochet the Base
Using white yarn, start with a magic ring (or ch4, sl st to form a ring).
First start with round 1: ch2, dc12 into ring, sl st (12)
Next is round 2: ch2, inc around, sl st (24)
Lastly is round 3: ch2, rep [dc, inc] around, sl st (36)
Lastly, round 4: ch2, rep [dc in next 2 st, inc] around, sl st (48)
Afterward, fasten off. This flat circular base creates the foundation for your crochet coaster.
Step 2: Add the Crochet Leaves
Attach green yarn to any stitch in Round 4.
Round 5:
ch5, dc in same stitch, sk2, [dc, ch2, dc] in next stitch
Repeat from * around.
sl st to the third chain from the bottom. (16 ch2-sp)
Fasten off.
These chain spaces will hold the crochet flowers.
Step 3: Crochet the Flowers (Popcorn Stitch)
Attach pink yarn to any skipped space from Round 5.
How to Make a Popcorn Stitch
- Work 5 dc into the same space
- Remove hook from loop
- Insert hook into the first dc
- Place loop back on hook and pull through
Round 6:
ch1, sc in same space, ch2, PC in next space, ch2, sc in next space
Repeat around.
sl st to join. (16 sc, 16 popcorn stitches)
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
