If you follow me on Instagram then you know we’ve had quite the comical laugh about Indian corn and it’s old wives tail (head my Instagram to learn more in my highlights about this!) when I back in Lancaster, Pa.
I visited a few of my favorite Amish stands and saw the beautiful Indian corn that I had forgotten all about for a hot minute. Y’all… I flew 25 ears in my bag with me… 25 ears… I wanted to make a wreath the ears for something fun and rustic to add to our home.
I bought a 10 inch straw wreath from amazon and needed 25 ears to fill the wreath along with glueing pieces of husks in the gaps.
Here’s what you need:
- 25 ears of colored mini/ medium sized Indian corn
- Hot glue gun
- 10 inch Straw wreath
Tips
- Vary the corn on the wreath if they are not all the same size.
- Fluff the husks prior to glueing to the wreath, put some pieces of husks to the side to glue and make the wreath full.
- if the corn husks break off from the corn, glue them back on.
- keep the plastic wrapping on the straw wreath, trust me, it’s messy otherwise
- Glue 4 like colored pieces of corn like a clock on the wreath (12,3,6,9) and then glue in between.
This is beautiful. And I’ve gotten such a kick over all the talk of hanging candy corn on your door!!!
