Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • My honey latte has become quite popular on the blog and Pinterest and someone asked if I had a recipe for a pumpkin spice latte. I got to thinking about it and surely it’s not that hard to make!
  • I was pleasantly surprised how good it turned out and the beauty with this recipe is you can double it, make it sweeter, and modify it to your liking!
  • Let’s get started:
  • Ingredients

    • 1 cups milk
    • 1 cup brewed coffee
    • 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin pie puree
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Step 1: Make a cup of joe

Brew a pot of coffee or use a French press and choose a dark roast that boasts a ton of flavor.

Step 2: Make the pumpkin milk

In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract and brown sugar. Heat everything until it’s hot and starts to steam. Make sure you don’t let it reach a boil as you could scorch the milk! Pour the coffee into the pumpkin mixture and then place in your favorite mug.

    Optional!

If you want the latte to be frothy blend it with a frother or put it into a milk froth machine to get additional creaminess. Also- top it with some whip cream if you’re really in the mood to indulge!
