Crockpot Overnight Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

We’re going to start seeing single digits here this week…. SINGLE DIGITS! Who’s got a beach house?? Can I come stay??

Coffee is always a priority in the morning but when it’s that cold I need a hot breakfast. Que the crockpot oatmeal. It’s perfect to let cook overnight while you sleep and wake up to the smell of apples, brown sugar and cinnamon!

Too good friends, too good! Let’s get started!

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 3 cups whole milk or almond milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Old Fashioned or Steel Cut Oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 T ancient seeds or flax seeds (optional)
  • maple syrup for the topping (optional)

Directions

  1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Add all ingredients EXCEPT the maple syrup.

  3. Cook on low for 7 hours.

  4. Remove lid and stir.

  5. Serve with a splash or two of milk and about a tablespoon of maple syrup drizzled over the top if desired.

TIPS: Some crockpots are different, if your crockpot is still too hot on low cooking then cook on warm.
