Two Simple ways to make Salmon

Salmon is one of my most favorite fish to cook either in the grill, seared in a pan, or simply in the oven. It’s on of my favorites because it’s so versatile and can be paired with many combinations of season songs, sugars, cheese, and sauces.

For these two recipes the one is pretty commonly used with the lemon seasonings but I’m sharing my cream cheese and crushed ritz crackers recipe that is my absolute favorite!

I picked up two 1 pound fillets of sockeye salmon to share how to make it in the oven two different ways.

Let’s get started!

Lemon Salmon Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/2 t each of lemon peel, pepper, garlic powder, parsley and little pieces of butter placed throughout the fillet.


  1. Place all seasoning ingredients evenly throughout fillet, top with butter and parsley and bake and 375 for 10 min or until no longer pink.

Cream Cheese & Ritz Cracker Crust Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/4 C softened Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 t garlic powder, pepper, parsley, 21 salute seasoning (Trader Joe’s)
  • 10 crushed ritz crackers


  1. Mix softened cream cheese and seasonings together.
  2. Spread cheese mixture over salmon and evenly put crushed ritz crackers on top.
  3. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until no longer pink.
